Latin Name is Cyphomandra betacea and it is also known as Tamarillo
This treelike shrub grows up to 10-15 feet tall.
It produced oval egg shaped fruits that form in large clusters.
They have a delicious tomato flavor mixed with a tropical fruit flavor underneath a tough, and pest-resistant skin. The skin is discarded and tasty sweet flesh is squeezed into mouth. It makes excellent chutneys and jams. Trees bear within 1-2 years.
