This type of squash is our favorite on our farm in Hawai’i. We don’t know the exact variety, we just know what the ones we love look like – the flesh is excellent eating, smooth with great texture.
Needs fertile, well-drained soil
Poor fruit development may indicate insufficient pollination
Sow 2-3 seeds per 2″ cell 3 weeks prior to transplanting

Handle seedlings carefully; minimal root disturbance is best
Or direct sow 2 seeds 2-3 feet apart in rows 6-12 feet apart

Fruits are typically ready about 50-55 days after fruit set
Cure squash at least 5-7 days.
